Why is it possible to refer to the norms of international law? Often our legislation may not have appropriate regulations on this or that legal norm or such regulations may not actually solve your problems. That is why the Civil Procedure allows the application of norms of law of other states.
The court, in accordance with the Constitution, the international treaty ratified by the Republic of Armenia or the law, may also apply the norms of the law of other states.
In case of necessity to apply a foreign law, the court finds out the existence and content of its norms in accordance with the practice of their interpretation and application in a foreign state.
